Arhelan

Design of a new loyalty app for a regional supermarket chain.
UI Design • Designed in 2025 at mohi.to agency

Overview

Arhelan is one of the largest regional supermarket chains in Poland, covering 4 Polish regions.

The goal was to design a new loyalty app closely aligned with Arhelan's store identity, so the digital experience felt like a natural extension of shopping in person.

The general screen structure and flows had been initially proposed by a software house, so our role focused on optimizing that structure from a UX perspective and designing the complete UI.

Approach

We worked as a two-person design team, refining the proposed architecture for usability and building a visual language consistent with Arhelan's in-store branding.

The core feature of the app is a loyalty card represented as a barcode, which customers scan at checkout to unlock promotions available exclusively within the app. Beyond the card itself, we designed the browsing experience for the store's current promotional offer, including filtering options to make it easier for users to find relevant deals.

As a result, users can independently check their balance, arrange a settlement, split debt into installments, request documents, and use the loyalty program.

Outcome

The result is a loyalty app that mirrors Arhelan's existing brand experience while giving customers app-exclusive value through promotions and convenient browsing tools.

By aligning the visual language with the flyers customers already recognized, the app made the digital experience feel like a natural continuation of shopping at Arhelan, rather than a separate, disconnected tool.
