Kredyt Kapital

Redesign of a self-service platform for debt management, aligned with a new brand identity.
UX Design • UI Design • Designed in 2026 as a freelance designer

Overview

Kredyt Kapital is a debt management company operating in Ukraine, helping clients resolve outstanding debt through personalized repayment plans.

Kredyt Kapital already had an online portal, but it was limited in functionality and difficult to navigate, which pushed many users toward contacting a consultant for tasks that should have been simple to handle independently, such as checking a balance or requesting documents. This created unnecessary friction for users and added operational load on the support team.

The project involved redesigning the portal to align with a new visual identity and website, both of which I also designed as separate projects. Beyond the visual update, the core business goal was to increase user self-sufficiency and encourage more consistent repayment behavior.

Approach

The redesign focused on simplifying key user journeys and introducing motivational repayment feedback, based on direct input from the team handling client contact.

To understand the real pain points, I ran workshops with the Kredyt Kapital management team, focusing especially on staff with direct client contact, such as chat and hotline support. Based on this input, I simplified core user journeys—most notably the debt installment process—and shortened repetitive forms across the platform.

On the UI side, I incorporated imagery from the brand's hero photography and video assets to keep the portal visually consistent with the new website. A key functional addition was motivational repayment feedback, largely missing from the previous version: progress bars now visualize how much debt has been repaid, paired with encouraging messages after each payment.

As a result, users can independently check their balance, arrange a settlement, split debt into installments, request documents, and use the loyalty program.

Outcome

The result is a self-service platform that reduces dependency on direct consultant contact while actively motivating users to keep up with repayments.

By simplifying key user flows and introducing clear repayment progress indicators, the redesigned portal supports both user independence and the company's underlying business goal: healthier, more consistent repayment rates.
